Felix Mallette - Bass Guitar

Bassist Felix Mallette’s musical experience began in the 60’s in the town of Hearst, Ontario, where he learned to play bass guitar and formed the popular northern Ontario rock band The Majestics.

By the 70’s, Felix had relocated to the Ottawa Valley, where he played in country rock bands including the Fred Dixon Band and Wild Affairs. Felix then got a taste for playing blues when he started playing with the late-great jazz/blues guitarist Leo Bissonette.

In the early 80’s, Felix recorded with country music recording artist, Roger McGraw in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Since moving to the Burlington area, Felix has played with local bands including The Wilson Bros. and with guitar virtuoso James Anthony. Felix is now dedicated to playing the blues, laying down the driving bass lines that can be heard in Blues Hammer’s solid rhythm section.
